After an initial sail in a pond near Lewiston, Maine we decided
to give Grasshopper a real sea trial in Casco Bay. There's
nothing like salt water to make sure a boat is working right. Ray
Frechette, the builder of Grasshopper offered to come along
on our outing to Fort Gorges near the city of Portland. The images
on this page are from the sea trial and other ramblings around Casco
